This is my twentieth year to teach and my fifth year at Haileyville. I am currently the library media specialist for grades k-12.
I started my teaching career at Clayton High School where I taught grades nine through twelve for twelve years. I moved to Hartshorne in 2011 and taught grades nine and ten for three years.
I have been married to Roger Hemphill, the superintendent of Haileyville Public Schools, for thirteen years. We have four children and eight grandchildren. We live in Hartshorne where we enjoy spending time with our family. Our past time activities include cruising around in our jeep and weekends at the hunting cabin.
My name is Toni (Sullivan) Hemphill and I have been an educator for twenty years. I have lived many places but would consider Clayton, Oklahoma my hometown because I spent most of my pre-teen and teen years there. However, most of my family is from Bokchito, Oklahoma near Durant. I grew up with a love for reading instilled by my parents who also loved to read. My father loved Louis L'Amour westerns, and mother would read anything Sidney Sheldon wrote. Most of my family, which includes many school teachers, have a passion for education and learning .
